TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Quanta Computer said the company’s AI server orders are secured through 2027, with AI-related revenue expected to maintain significant growth next year.
At an investor conference on Wednesday, the company reported third-quarter revenue of NT$495.26 billion (US$16 billion), up 16.7% from last year but down 1.8% from the second quarter, mainly due to early shipments ahead of US tariffs. Net income after tax fell 2.5% from the previous quarter to NT$16.4 billion, down 1.2% from the same period last year, per CNA.
For the first three quarters of this year, the company posted revenue of NT$1.49 trillion, up 49.5% from last year. Net income after tax reached NT$52.79 billion, up 20.4%, marking a record high for revenue and profit for the period. AI servers accounted for 70% of total server product revenue.
Quanta said that demand for AI servers from cloud providers will continue to rise. Mass production of Nvidia’s GB300 AI server has begun, with deliveries set to accelerate next year. Its next-generation servers equipped with the Vera Rubin superchip are expected to enter production in the second half of next year.
Quanta said that AI server production takes six to eight weeks, with current capacity nearly full. To meet demand, the company plans to expand production in Thailand, Germany, and the US. While the US facility handles final assembly, power supply remains a challenge, prompting plans to cut testing time to reduce electricity use.
Although ASIC servers account for a small portion of revenue, R&D and production began this year, with shipments expected to rise next year. These servers are designed for high-speed, energy-efficient tasks such as AI computing, data centers, and cryptocurrency mining, offering advantages over traditional GPUs.
The company added that its revenue from EV components is expected to rise starting in 2027, while notebook manufacturing is projected to fall below 20% of total revenue next year.
