TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Taiwan Creative Content Fest at Nangang Exhibition Center from Tuesday spotlights innovations in AI and visual effects alongside other industry-leading topics.
Registration for forum sessions has already started, according to the organizer, Taiwan Creative Content Agency. The event ends Friday.
Kimball Thurston, chief technology officer at Hollywood visual effects powerhouse Weta FX, will head a key forum session on “VFX Forward: AI-Driven Virtual Production and Industry Transformation.” He is expected to discuss the shift from traditional visual effects to AI-driven technologies like real-time scene generation and motion capture, highlighting how AI is revolutionizing global visual effects competitiveness.
The forum theme, “Evolve Beyond Imagination,” features more than 25 speakers from nine countries presenting 12 panels and keynotes. These sessions cover emerging market trends, investment strategies, and the technological transformations shaping film and television content worldwide.
Other major events at the forum include:
- Emmy-winning producer Janet Yang shares insights on Asian content’s challenges in the North American market.
- A panel on Taiwan’s TV industry transformation with SET TV Vice President Alvin Chen (陳芮文) and others explores new media’s impact post-Golden Bell Awards.
- Vivek Couto will examine Thailand’s booming OTT-driven film and TV market and opportunities for Taiwanese producers.
- Sessions on Korean content globalization, Southeast Asian OTT platform strategies, and production challenges of historical Taiga dramas.
- A women-led panel discussing female empowerment in storytelling.
