TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — ASRock Rack, a subsidiary of Pegatron, reported NT$14.3 billion (US$467 million) in revenue for the first eight months of the year, a 244% year-on-year increase, with about 80% of sales coming from products related to AI servers.
ASRock Rack specializes in the development of server motherboards used in data centers, high-performance computing, big data analysis, and cloud computing, per CNA.
ASRock Rack Chair Hsu Lung-lun (許隆倫) said the company’s revenue in the first half of this year grew 3.32 times year-over-year, driven by strong sales of its H-series servers. However, its gross margin declined significantly, falling from 17.1% to 8.2%, mainly due to the significant Taiwan dollar appreciation.
Hsu noted that the increasing demand for AI servers is expected to help improve ASRock Rack's gross margin. He added that an increase in orders for general-purpose servers during the third quarter is projected to boost Q4 and Q1 2026 revenue.
Since the third quarter, the company has begun shipping its B200 HGX servers, part of its H-series AI server lineup. ASRock Rack also plans to begin production of Nvidia’s B300 HGX servers in the fourth quarter, with shipments expected to surpass those of the B200 in the first quarter of next year.
The company added that it will also be one of the suppliers for AMD’s MI400, a next-generation AI accelerator designed for large-scale training, scheduled for launch in the second half of next year.
At a Monday press conference, Hsu said the company will go public in November. The funds raised from the listing will be used to diversify its customer base, upgrade equipment in facilities, and expand its R&D team. He noted that R&D personnel account for more than 80% of ASRock Rack's workforce.
Pegatron Chair Tung Tzu-hsien (童子賢) also attended the event, noting that ASRock Rack is a highly promising company with significant revenue growth over the past three years. He hoped the company would continue its R&D efforts to become one of the leading worldwide AI server suppliers.
