TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Janet Yang, the first Asian American president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will deliver the closing keynote at Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) in Taipei from Nov. 4–7.
Yang, a Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning producer known for “The Joy Luck Club” and “Over the Moon,” will focus on strategies to expand Asian cinema on the global stage.
Her participation underscores TCCF’s theme, “Evolve Beyond Imagination,” highlighting shifts in the audiovisual industry driven by new technology and market trends. Other featured guests include leading producers, Emmy-winning director Jane Wu, and nominees from the Golden Bell Awards.
Taiwan Creative Content Agency Chair Sue Wang (王時思) said changes in business models and investment are creating both challenges and opportunities for local filmmakers. She emphasized learning from markets such as South Korea, the United States, Japan, France, and Southeast Asia to strengthen Taiwan’s global competitiveness.
