TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A Swedish–Taiwanese Parliamentary Association delegation led by lawmaker Alexandra Anstrell arrived for a weeklong visit to deepen bilateral cooperation.

The group will attend Taiwan’s National Day celebration on Friday and meet Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim (蕭美琴) and Deputy Foreign Minister Wu Chih-chung (吳志中), per the foreign ministry.

The lawmakers will also meet Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜) and National Security Council Secretary-General Joseph Wu (吳釗燮).

They are slated to visit the Institute for National Defense and Security Research and the Taiwan FactCheck Center. The 11-member group is the largest Swedish parliamentary delegation to visit in recent years, the ministry said.
