TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A Taiwan Lottery player in Kaohsiung won the Super Lotto (威力彩) top prize of NT$227 million (US$7.46 million) after spending NT$200.
The Super Lotto, also known as the Power Lottery, is Taiwan's most lucrative lottery. The lottery was drawn on Thursday, with a single winner of the jackpot, per CNA.
The winning ticket was purchased at a lottery shop on Miaoqian Road in Kaohsiung's Qijin District. The lucky winner who hit the jackpot bought two tickets with computer-generated numbers.
The winning numbers were 03, 05, 12, 24, 27, and 30, while the special number was 07. To win the Super Lotto jackpot, a player must be able to match all six numbers from 1 to 38 in the first row of the ticket and the one number between 1 and 8 in the second section.
The draws are held twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. The winning numbers and the latest Super Lotto jackpot are on the Taiwan Lottery website.
