TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan is ready to help Europe scale up and foster the next generation of industrial leaders, Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) said in a keynote speech at the Warsaw Security Forum in Poland on Sunday.
Lin stressed that closer Taiwan-Europe cooperation could foster a resilient and diverse tech ecosystem, helping Europe achieve its reindustrialization goals, which are also crucial to the ReArm Europe Plan, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the face of growing emerging security challenges, Lin called on partners to build a non-Chinese supply chain among democratic allies based on a “ring of trust.” This would safeguard industrial survival and democratic resilience.
He said that Taiwan and Europe’s security are inseparable, and that now is the time for them to build a solid alliance grounded in shared values and stop authoritarian expansion.
Taiwan is ready to contribute its strengths, including advanced semiconductor and electronics industry capabilities, as a trusted partner for Europe to bring global prosperity, Lin said.
The Warsaw Security Forum is an annual two-day event organized by the Polish think tank Casimir Pulaski Foundation.
The foreign minister recently concluded a European tour, during which he met lawmakers and business leaders in the Czech Republic, Italy, and Austria to bolster cooperation with like-minded partners.
