TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The 2025 Golden Tripod Awards ceremony at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center on Wednesday celebrated Taiwan’s publishing community.
The Ministry of Culture said this year’s winning works spanned themes from social reflection and ethnic identity to environmental care, cultural heritage, and everyday life, across magazines, books, government publications, and digital media.
Culture Minister Li Yuan (李遠) said during his remarks that he deeply respects today’s authors, who must adapt to a changing publishing landscape and compete with the world’s best.
Li added that over the past year the ministry expanded the scale of the awards to better recognize winners and launched the Cultural Points program. The program provides NT$600 to those aged 13–15 this year and, starting next year, NT$1,200 to those aged 13–22, with more than 40% of Cultural Points spending flowing to publishing.
The ministry said it will continue working with schools, libraries, and bookstores to promote Golden Tripod Award–winning works by holding book fairs, author talks, and other reading events, combining online and in-person outreach.
