TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The National Day planning committee announced that the military will hold a drill on Thursday, ahead of Double Ten Day next month.
Black Hawk helicopters will depart from Longtan and Hsinchu bases on Thursday morning and head to the Boai Special District and the Presidential Office to conduct flight route checks and fly over the Presidential Office, according to the committee.
Additional rehearsals are scheduled for Oct. 2 and Oct. 8. The engine noise during the flyovers will be relatively loud, but there is no need for concern, the planning committee said. If there is bad weather, rehearsals will be rescheduled.
The Double Ten Day celebration will feature the Army’s Black Hawk helicopters, Chinook transport helicopters, and the Air Force’s Brave Eagle advanced jet trainers.
