TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Central Weather Administration has issued land and sea warnings for Typhoon Ragasa, prompting parts of Pingtung County, Hualien County, and Taitung County to announce partial school and office closures.
CWA forecaster Wu Wan-hua (伍婉華) said Ragasa could intensify and is expected to have the greatest impact over the next two days. Starting in the afternoon, heavy to torrential rain is likely in Hualien, Taitung, Yilan, Pingtung’s mountains, Hengchun Peninsula, Orchid Island, and Green Island.
Heavy rain is also possible in Greater Taipei, Taoyuan, Taichung, Nantou, and mountainous areas in Kaohsiung. Tuesday, heavy to torrential rain is expected in the east, Hengchun Peninsula, Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and mountainous regions across the island.

Manzhou Township: Work and classes canceled
Fangshan Township: Work and classes canceled
Shizi Township: Work and classes canceled
Mudan Township: Work and classes canceled
Chunri Township, Shiwen Village: Work and classes canceled
Wutai Township, Wutai Village: Work and classes canceled
Hualien County
Guangfu Township: Work and classes canceled
Taitung County
Green Island Township: Work and Classes canceled
Orchid Island Township: Work and classes canceled
