TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taoyuan International Airport Corporation announced on Tuesday that the south observation deck at Terminal 2 has been reopened after completing repairs to damaged flooring and fencing.
The observation deck was closed for 10 days beginning in late August. During this time, TIAC took the opportunity to update signage and other improvements to make it more accessible to the physically challenged, per CNA.
The observation deck is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Children under the age of six must be accompanied by an adult, with each adult allowed to accompany a maximum of four children. Animals are prohibited except for pets in cages and guide dogs.
The public is also reminded that personal belongings such as hats and umbrellas may blow away. Visitors must also be mindful of flight safety and avoid using laser pointers and bringing floating objects like balloons.
The observation deck will be temporarily closed if winds reach 37 knots or in the case of other weather-related circumstances, such as typhoons. When the capacity reaches 300 people, a 30-minute limit will be imposed on each person. For more information, please consult the following website.
