TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Thunder Tiger said Thursday it plans to expand drone production in the US, unveiling its latest drones at Taiwan Expo USA in Dallas, Texas.
The company’s board approved investing in US production bases for key drone components and motors, per CNA. It aims to boost global competitiveness and drive growth through closer industrial collaboration with the US.
The Taiwan Expo opened on Thursday, spotlighting the nation’s high-tech industry, including electric vehicles and drones, as drivers of bilateral trade and investment. Taiwan External Trade Development Council Chair Huang Chih-fang (黃志芳) visited Thunder Tiger’s booth.
Thunder Tiger showcased its first-person view drone series, entirely made in Taiwan and independent of “red” supply chains. A video demonstration featured a suicide attack drone, developed with the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology, highlighting AI-precision strike capabilities.
The company also presented a live demonstration video of the SeaShark 800 unmanned vessel, emphasizing its innovation in unmanned maritime combat platforms and potential market applications.
Thunder Tiger’s tactical ground station TB-1 was another highlight. Equipped with proprietary ground control station software and high-gain antennas, it enables real-time drone monitoring and mission management, per Liberty Times.
