TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — ITRI signed on as a founding member of Revolutionary Innovation by Semiconductor Ecosystem for All Industries on Tuesday. It’s a semiconductor platform launched by Japan’s Mitsui Fudosan Group.
The partnership aims to deepen Taiwan-Japan cooperation in semiconductors and accelerate global innovation, per CNA. ITRI Executive Vice President Hu Chu-sheng (胡竹生) said the alliance will strengthen collaboration with startups and research institutes and promote advanced chip technologies.
Hu added the institute will leverage its semiconductor expertise, including a pilot line for advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration, to drive collaboration with Japanese equipment and materials suppliers.
Mitsui Fudosan President Toshio Ueda said Rise-A is the group’s latest step as an “industrial developer,” following its Link-J platform for life sciences and Cross-U for aerospace. The initiative will connect government, academia, and industry in a shared space for innovation.
Recruitment for Rise-A members began last week. A dedicated innovation hub in Tokyo’s Nihonbashi district is scheduled to open in October to foster partnerships between companies and research institutions.
