TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — EVA Air distributed a three-month mid-year bonus to employees on Monday, reflecting strong operations.
The airline achieved record consolidated revenue in April of NT$18.5 billion (US$635.4 million). Passenger revenue topped NT$12.8 billion, with cargo revenue at NT$4.4 billion, per UDN.
Subsidiaries such as EVA Airline Services and EVA Aviation Technologies also provided staff with a mid-year one-month bonus.
EVA's profits also set a new record last year, resulting in a seven-month bonus for staff. Taiwan's leading airlines reflect the general profitability of the aviation industry.
EVA praised employees for working together to achieve record profitability. Analysts said EVA's mid-year performance illustrates balanced revenue streams (passenger and cargo services), positioning the carrier for sustained growth amidst more regional competition.
