TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Central Weather Administration said that northern Taiwan could see temperatures reaching 37 C from Tuesday to Friday, CNA reported.
From Tuesday to Thursday, highs in the north will range from 33 C to 37 C, while central and southern regions will see highs between 33 C and 35 C. Most areas across the nation will see sunny to partly cloudy skies. Scattered afternoon showers are expected in central and southern Taiwan, as well as in mountainous areas.
Highs in the north are forecast to range from 32 C to 36 C from Friday through the weekend. Central and southern regions will see highs of 33 C to 35 C. During that time, localized showers are expected in the south, and brief afternoon thunderstorms in central areas and mountainous regions across the country.
On Tuesday, UV levels are high in the north and Taitung, while other regions are experiencing moderate levels. Air quality is moderate in central and southern areas, and good in the rest of the country.
Tropical disturbances are developing this week in the waters near the Philippines and Guam, with a possibility of forming into typhoons. However, the administration noted that their intensity and projected paths remain uncertain.
