TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Food Taipei Mega Shows opened on Wednesday in Taipei, attracting industry participants from around the world
This year’s event is themed “Precision Nutrition” and “Green Intelligence,” reflecting the food sector’s focus on digital transformation, sustainability, and healthier diets. Running through June 28, the four-day event features 1,700 exhibitors occupying 4,500 booths, surpassing previous attendance records.
The exhibition is divided into five sections: Food Taipei, Foodtech Taipei, Bio/Pharmatech Taiwan, Taipei Pack, and Taiwan Horeca, spanning Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2.
TAITRA Chair James C.F. Huang (黃志芳) described the show as a platform that connects cultures through food. He highlighted the participation of exhibitors from 33 countries and noted the growing significance of the event as a major food industry gathering in Asia.
The event showcases a range of international specialty products including Mongolian pine nuts, Korean deer antler supplements, Japanese heritage cola syrup, Mozambican organic tea, Spanish olive oil, and Indian sustainable seafood.
In addition to global specialties, local representation includes 16 city and county government pavilions, with Pingtung and Tainan returning after several years. The Taiwan Pavilion, under the theme “Elevating Taste, Sharing with the World,” features 93 domestic brands, while the Taichung Pavilion emphasizes organic and innovative agricultural products.
A key highlight is the Future Food Pavilion, which presents developments in plant-based innovation, novel ingredients, and precision nutrition technologies. Exhibits include frozen ready meals, Taiwanese cuisine enhanced by artificial intelligence of things, and sustainable health foods, reflecting trends in technology and culture.
The exhibition will open to the public on Saturday. Tickets are priced at NT$300 (US$10), granting access to all five sections of the show.
