TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The vibrant nightlife of Taipei’s Dazhi District has a sophisticated new addition with the grand opening of Bar Di on June 13.
Located on the fourth floor of Hotel Indigo Taipei Dazhi, Bar Di draws inspiration from the area’s rich military housing history, blending local culture with contemporary luxury to create an intimate and comfortable bar experience. Its semi-private booth seating is ideal for romantic dates or special occasions.
The restaurant’s culinary offerings are crafted to complement its inventive drink menu. The kitchen specializes in creative Chinese bar bites inspired by the refined traditions of Cantonese and Huaiyang (Jiangsu and Yangzhou) cuisines, infused with the bold flavors of Sichuan.
Each dish is a delicate, contemporary creation designed for one or two people to share, with prices ranging from NT$300 (US$10) to NT$600.
Highlight dishes include taro with Parmesan and crisp meat paper. For those seeking heartier fare, the spicy and crispy beef features hand-rolled US beef tenderloin, crispy on the outside and juicy within, stir-fried with Sichuan pickled vegetables and a touch of black pepper sauce.
These offerings showcase a harmonious blend of diverse regional Chinese flavors presented with modern flair.
Bar Di’s signature “architectural cocktails” offer nine unique creations inspired by Taiwan landmarks such as the Danjiang Bridge and Hsinchu City Market. These innovative drinks, starting from NT$450, take guests on a liquid journey through Taiwan’s modern landscape.
Whether enjoying a bespoke cocktail or a flavorful Chinese bar bite, Bar Di promises a distinctive sensory experience in one of Taipei’s newest upscale settings.
