TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan’s electric vehicle sector will join a trade mission to Mexico, Guatemala, Paraguay and Brazil this year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Tuesday.
The mission, organized by the ministry’s Department of International Cooperation and Economic Affairs, aims to promote cooperation with businesses in Taiwan’s diplomatic allies and friendly countries, per Liberty Times.
In July, Taiwan will erect its own pavilion at a trade fair in Paraguay and hold trade talks in Brazil. In November, it will participate in an international hardware fair in Guatemala, featuring a sustainable green energy zone to support the Central American country’s own green transformation.
The ministry also plans parallel efforts elsewhere, including a culture fair in Palau in July, an international trade fair in Eswatini in September, and a partnership fair with Saint Lucia in November.
