TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Foxlink’s subsidiary Sync Robotic launched Wednesday an AI robot platform for 24/7 security patrols, betting on a global inspection market expected to hit NT$899.52 billion (US$20 billion) by 2030.
Sync Robotic Chair Kuo Shou-fu (郭守富) said the AI-powered robots can triple inspection hours while reducing risks to human workers, per CNA. He pointed to offshore wind farm inspections as a key example, where robotic deployment cuts down on dangerous trips to sea.
Unlike manufacturers focused on physical machines, Sync Robotic is building the brains of intelligent patrol robots. The company is training systems using the Nvidia Isaac GR00T N1 model to enable quick decision-making and autonomy, per UDN.
Kuo said the platform is hardware-agnostic and supports a mix of quadrupeds, humanoids, and drones. These robots can run scheduled tasks and recharge automatically, offering 24/7 patrol coverage without human oversight.
Foxlink cited market data showing the inspection robot sector was worth US$4.07 billion last year and growing at 16.8% annually. That positions Sync Robotic to benefit from strong demand across industries needing automated monitoring, it added.
To accelerate global growth, Sync Robotics will integrate R&D with Foxlink’s US security brand Luminys Systems. Kuo said the company is in talks with security providers and aims to deploy 120 robots within two years.
