TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Central Weather Administration issued a heavy rain advisory for western and northeastern Taiwan on Tuesday.
The plum rain front will affect Taiwan from Tuesday to Thursday. Brief but intense downpours and localized heavy rain are expected in the western region, with potential thunderstorms and strong gusts, per CNA.
The administration forecasts that the rain is set to ease from Friday to Sunday. During that period, southern Taiwan may see isolated showers in the morning, with localized afternoon showers expected across the nation.
From Tuesday to Thursday, temperatures in northern Taiwan are expected to range from 22 C to 30 C. Central and southern regions will see temperatures between 23 C and 33 C, while the eastern part will be between 22 C and 28 C.
Temperatures in northern Taiwan will rise slightly from Friday to Sunday, ranging from 24 C to 32 C. Central and southern regions will be between 24 C and 33 C, and the east from 24 C to 30 C.
The ultraviolet index on Tuesday is forecast to be at an extreme level in Taitung and Penghu, while other regions will experience moderate to high levels. Air quality in northern Taiwan and the outlying islands is moderate, while central, southern, and eastern regions are expected to have good air quality.
