TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Taiwan flag carrier China Airlines on Thursday launched an upgraded AI customer service in 10 languages that it described as one of the most advanced in the world.
The new system uses AI to design and calculate itineraries requested by customers, per UDN. As a result, it makes searching for flights and usage in general more convenient, the airline said.
The use of generative AI includes language analysis and logical reasoning, making it easier to deliver a fitting response to sometimes complex and confusing requests from customers. No matter where they are, customers can obtain replies and suggestions about interesting sights close to their route.
In addition to the original Mandarin, English, and Japanese, the new system also uses dozens of other languages, including Spanish, German, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Indonesian, and Malay.
The languages cover most of the markets served by China Airlines flights to provide services to customers in their own language. The carrier said it was also designing a new website with a more practical booking system and an app in 12 languages.
