TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Acer and Compal Electronics will showcase their newest products at Computex from May 20-23, CNA reported on Monday.
This year’s event will feature more than 1,400 exhibitors, focusing on AI computing, future mobility, next-gen connectivity, and sustainability. Organizers will also host AI-themed forums and keynote speeches, with speakers including Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳), Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, Foxconn Chair Young Liu (劉揚偉), and MediaTek CEO Rick Tsai (蔡力行).
Acer will present its latest AI-integrated PCs, monitors, gaming laptops, and networking solutions. The company's subsidiary, Altos Computing Inc., will also showcase its AI servers and smart healthcare applications.
Acer reported revenue of nearly NT$18.6 billion (US$574 million) in April, a 4.2% increase from the same month last year. The company's revenue for this year’s first four months exceeded NT$80 billion, marking a 4.4% rise year-over-year.
Acer said that its April revenue from notebooks increased by 3.3%, desktop sales rose by 2.5%, monitor sales grew by 12.7%, and Chromebook revenue surged by 28.6%. The company added that it held the leading market share in the US and European markets in the first quarter. Revenue from Acer’s non-PC businesses accounted for 32.8% of its April revenue.
Compal Electronics said it will introduce the world's first electronic whiteboard powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X processor at Computex. The product integrates Compal’s hardware design and manufacturing capabilities with Qualcomm’s expertise in high-performance computing and AI.
Compal said its new whiteboard is designed to deliver intelligent user experiences for education and enterprise applications. The company added the Snapdragon X processor, which features an eight-core CPU and a processing unit capable of handling up to 45 trillion operations per second.
Compal reported its annual revenue of approximately NT$910 billion last year, a 7.88% decrease compared to 2023. The company's revenue for the fourth quarter totaled around NT$229.2 billion, down 6.2% from the third quarter.
Power Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. added that it will collaborate with partners at Computex to showcase technologies in IC design, high-bandwidth memory, AI computing, power management ICs, and 3D chip stacking.
