TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Student's Union of the Republic of China in the United Kingdom and the UK-Taiwan Chamber of Commerce organized a Taiwanese food festival in London on Saturday.
The annual event was themed "Savoring the Taste of Taiwan” and featured a variety of night market-style stalls and games, CNA reported. The organizers hoped to introduce Taiwan’s rich and diverse culinary culture to more people.
Over 15 Taiwanese restaurants participated in the event. They offered a wide range of Taiwanese delicacies, including oyster omelets, Taiwanese sausage wrapped in sticky rice, popcorn chicken, braised pork rice, and beef noodle soup. Representative to the UK, Vincent Yao (姚金祥), also attended the event.
Emma Jerrard, the event manager, said the festival’s delicious food and interactive games made it a lot of fun. She added that London often hosts multicultural events.
