TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — MediaTek revealed Wednesday its flagship Dimensity Auto Cockpit Platform C-X1 and MT2739 in-vehicle communication chipset at Auto Shanghai.
MediaTek said in a press release the platform enables large language model deployment through a unified cloud-device architecture. It also supports ray tracing and virtualization to meet the performance and safety needs of next-generation smart cockpits, per CNA.
C-X1 is built on a 3 nm process using Arm v9.2-A cores, integrated with Nvidia’s Blackwell GPU and deep learning accelerators. Its dual-AI engine supports low-latency features like voice assistance, smart trip planning, and driver monitoring.
When combined with Nvidia’s Drive Thor, C-X1 becomes a centralized computing hub capable of managing multiple vehicle subsystems.
MT2739 supports 5G-Advanced, NR-NTN satellite connectivity, and AI-powered network optimization. It’s designed to enhance in-vehicle communications with improved speed, coverage, and reliability.
Vice President Chang Yu-tai (張豫臺) said automakers are racing to develop smarter, AI-powered in-car systems. MediaTek aims to support this shift through scalable hardware-software platforms and close industry collaboration, he added.
MediaTek said MT2739 meets automotive-grade standards and integrates advanced cybersecurity and developer tools. The company plans to further expand its automotive footprint through partnerships and cutting-edge AI.
