TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Central Weather Administration forecasted temperatures in Greater Taipei to reach 35 C on Tuesday, CNA reported.
Taiwan will see mostly sunny to cloudy skies. Temperatures will range from 21 C to 35 C in the north, 21 C to 34 C in central and southern regions, and 24 C to 31 C in the east.
The administration said some areas in Taitung may experience foehn winds, dry and hot air along the leeside of mountains, during the daytime on Tuesday, potentially pushing temperatures up to 38 C.
A weather front is expected to bring scattered showers to northern, central, and eastern Taiwan from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.
From Friday to Saturday, scattered showers are expected across Taiwan. Temperatures will range from 18 C to 23 C in the north, 21 C to 27 C in central regions, and 23 C to 31 C in the south.
Rainfall is expected to ease on Sunday, with temperatures ranging from 19 C to 28 C in the north and 21 C to 32 C in central and southern Taiwan. On Monday, another weather front is forecast to affect northern and central regions, bringing scattered showers to these areas.
