TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — ABV Americano restaurant in Taipei unveiled a limited-time menu showcasing dishes from New Mexico on Tuesday.
The menu features eight dishes, including a green chili beef cheeseburger, green chili braised pork, pork and corn posole, calabacitas, and a “Christmas” beef burrito with red and green sauces.
Much of New Mexican cuisine incorporates Hatch green chiles and New Mexico red chiles, along with cumin, garlic, and onion.
The green chili beef cheeseburger is made with green chilies blended with ground beef and, once cooked, is topped with a slice of cheese.
The flavor-rich green chili braised pork is tender after cooking in its natural juices and green chilies, creating a spicy yet slightly tangy aroma.
For the pork and corn posole, pork and sweet corn are simmered together to create rustic flavors.
Calabacitas is a light and refreshing vegetable stew made with zucchini. As a main course, the Christmas beef burrito’s red and green sauces give it a festive look and bring double the flavor.
