TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – TCC Group Holdings’ European subsidiary Atlante Co. has joined three companies from the EU in an alliance of EV charger networks, reports said Tuesday.
TCC, formerly known as Taiwan Cement, issued a statement saying the “Spark Alliance” would be the largest group in Europe of its kind with charging stations in 25 countries. Italian-based Atlante’s partners are Electra of France, Fastned of the Netherlands, and Ionity of Germany.
The 1,700 stations and 11,000 High Power Charging points rely entirely on green energy, per CNA. EV drivers can start using the system in June with any app supplied by an alliance member. The app can be used in any country where the new group is active, including for payments.
A centralized route planning system will make it easier for drivers to find the location of the closest changing stations, helping international travelers and providing information about rates.
Atlante was founded in Italy in 2022 to become Southern Europe’s largest EV charging provider. The company manages more than 900 charging stations in Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal.
