TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A Chinese influencer left Taiwan on Monday, just hours before a government deportation order was set to take effect.
The National Immigration Agency (NIA) announced on March 26 that two Chinese nationals, Enqi (恩綺) and Xiaowei (小微), would be deported for supporting a military invasion of Taiwan. Amid uncertainty whether the pair would abide by the order, Enqi arrived at Taipei Songshan Airport on Monday afternoon and boarded a flight to China later that evening, per CNA.
On March 21, the NIA revoked the dependent and long-term residence permits for both women and gave them 10 days to leave the country voluntarily or face deportation.

Enqi and Xiaowei staged a protest outside the Presidential Office on Friday, unfurling a banner and later posting TikTok videos denying they had advocated for a Chinese invasion. In the videos, they thanked viewers for their concern and reiterated their stance.
Following the protest, Enqi kept a low profile. She checked in at the airline counter around 2 p.m. on Monday and was scheduled to board a 6:35 p.m. flight to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport—less than six hours before the 11:59 p.m. deadline.
Xiaowei was expected to appear later Monday evening at Songshan Airport, where supporters and protesters were anticipated to gather. A large police presence was deployed to maintain order.
Another Chinese influencer, Liu Zhenya (劉振亞), also had her dependent residence permit revoked for similar remarks. Though she initially planned to defy her deportation order on March 25, she later reversed her decision and left Taiwan that evening.
