TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Foxconn said Tuesday it will work with Taipei City Government to implement AI-driven smart city solutions.
Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) kicked off the Smart City Summit and Expo 2025 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center on Tuesday, per UDN. The four-day trade show, now in its 12th iteration, is expected to draw over 1,000 exhibitors and host over 500 matchmaking sessions.
Chiang in his opening speech said Foxconn will collaborate with the city to drive data center analytics, enhance computing capabilities, and implement AI municipal services, per CNA.
Foxconn Chief Trade Compliance and Logistics Officer Yang Chiu-chin (楊秋瑾) said the company operates over 230 facilities globally, with plans to exceed 240 by the end of the year. By applying AI in its major plants, Foxconn enhances smart solutions in fire safety, human resources, administration, and engineering, which forms the basis for its cooperation with Taipei.
Additionally, Foxconn showcased integrated solutions including a high-performance computing platform for smart electric vehicles and an advanced driver-assistance system. It also featured its CoDoctor AI platform for diagnostic support.
Foxconn added that it is developing a smart city platform that integrates robotics, electric vehicles, and software to enhance urban management and disaster response speed.
