TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – EVA Air and Starlux Airlines will launch flights to Kobe Airport’s new international terminal as soon as it opens on April 18, reports said Wednesday.
EVA said Expo 2025 in Osaka is likely to fuel demand on the new route, per CNA. The expo is scheduled to open on April 13 and last until Oct. 13.
During the April 18-27 period, EVA will offer four flights per week between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Kobe, with a change to two per week afterward. The airline will operate the Airbus A321-200 on the new route.
Travelers in south Taiwan will see EVA flights between Kaohsiung and Osaka increase from seven to 11 per week beginning April 1.
Starlux announced in February it would start flights from Taoyuan and Taichung to Kobe on April 18 with Airbus A321neo aircraft. There will be three flights per week from Taoyuan, and seven from Taichung.
