TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — An aerial photographer captured this unique perspective of the top of Taipei 101 seeming to rise above the clouds on Tuesday.
After obtaining the necessary permits, Shen Hommer (沈張鴻) launched a drone around Taipei 101 that morning for a photo shoot, per CNA. The drone captured this stunning view of the building's apex as it appeared to thrust above a sea of clouds at sunrise.
Shen told CNA that one of the team members is familiar with atmospheric phenomena. Recently, due to the transition between cold and warm air, lower cloud layers had formed over the sea off Keelung, making it likely to enter the Taipei Basin.

"This is all thanks to divine timing," Shen said. Having worked in aerial photography for about eight years, Shen said he had previously captured night scenes of Taipei 101 from high above.
For this shoot, his team prepared for several days and applied for permission from the Civil Aeronautics Administration. They began waiting in the early hours of the morning, hoping for clear skies, and with a brief gap in flight schedules, the drone was able to take off.
They were able to capture this spectacular scene at around 6 a.m.
