TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — ABV’s Korean gastropub held a grand opening on Tuesday, showcasing the diversity and richness of Korean gastronomy.
“Every bite brings you closer to the heart of Korean dining culture,” the restaurant said in a press release. The highlight of its menu is Korean barbecue, which uses high-quality cuts of pork marinated in savory sauces and grilled to perfection, according to the restaurant.
Other items include:
- Army stew: A rich and spicy stew that combines sausages, instant noodles, rice cakes, and other ingredients in a Korean chili broth. It originated near Seoul after the Korean War.
- Pork backbone and potato soup: A hearty, home-style Korean soup with a rich broth made with pork and potato. It is a staple in Korean households.
- Spicy stir-fried chicken: A popular Korean drinking dish made with chicken, stir-fried with vegetables and rice cakes and coated in a special spicy Korean sauce.
- Pyongyang cold noodles: A signature dish from North Korea, made of buckwheat noodles in a chilled broth and topped with thinly sliced beef and pickled radish. The dish is often enjoyed in the summer.
