TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — After a warm three-day holiday, temperatures in northern Taiwan are expected to drop by 10 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, followed by another 5-degree decline on Wednesday, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
The unseasonably warm weather, with highs near 30 degrees, is expected to persist through Monday before a sharp cooldown sets in, per CNA.
By Tuesday, highs in northern Taiwan are forecast to drop to 20-22 degrees, while from March 5-7, morning temperatures could fall to 14-15 degrees, with daytime highs reaching 17-19 degrees. In the south, temperatures will be milder, with daytime highs ranging from 20-23 degrees.
Rain is also expected to expand nationwide starting Monday evening, with northern and eastern Taiwan likely to see widespread showers on March 5.
A gradual return to warmer temperatures is expected after March 10, according to the CWA.
