TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Online security company Radware has signed a managed security service provider agreement with Chunghwa Telecom subsidiary CHT Security that expands an existing collaboration between the two companies.
CHT Security said it would integrate Radware’s online security services into its product portfolio, according to a press release. The company also employs Radware’s in-house protection system against cyberattacks.
CHT Security's Taiwan General Manager Jeff Hung (洪進福) said the agreement will help the company enhance its cybersecurity offerings. “Combined with CHT Security’s 24/7 security operations team, we can provide multi-layered defense services against sophisticated threats,” Hung said.
Radware's Asia-Pacific Sales Vice President Yaniv Hoffman said the partnership aims to address growing challenges for security teams managing evolving cyber threats. “Through our joint efforts, we can help organizations protect critical assets while strengthening cybersecurity across the Taiwan market,” Hoffman said.
The agreement comes as cyber threats in the region intensify, CHT Security said. A recent Radware threat advisory identified a series of online attacks by pro-Russian groups targeting government websites, airports, and financial services in Taiwan.
Growing technological advancements and ongoing software updates have also increased vulnerabilities in business systems. This has raised concerns about new security loopholes, stolen data, and online extortion, CHT Security said.
Radware’s Cloud Application Protection Service provides organizations with security tools, including website protection, automated threat detection, and data security. CHT Security said Radware's systems use automated threat detection and analysis to prevent online attacks, including threats identified by the widely recognized online security organization Open Web Application Security Project.
CHT Security provides cybersecurity services to over 300 large enterprises, 40,000 small and medium-sized businesses, and more than a million individual clients. Its customers include government agencies, financial institutions, high-tech firms, healthcare providers, retailers, and critical infrastructure operators.
