TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A lucky Taiwan Lottery player has won the Super Lotto NT$2 billion (US$61 million) jackpot.
Super Lotto, also known as the Power Lottery, and Taiwan's most lucrative lottery, went 33 draws in a row without a person winning. On Monday evening, the Jin Fa Ye Lottery Shop at No. 73-1, Section 1, Zhongshan Road in New Taipei's Shulin District issued the winning first prize, per Liberty Times.
The NT$2,007,288,888 win was the sixth-highest jackpot in Super Lotto history. However, after taxes, the actual payout is approximately NT$1.6 billion.
The winning numbers were 07, 15, 16, 23, 24, and 35, while the special number was 02.
To win the Power Lottery jackpot, a player must be able to match all six numbers from 1 to 38 in the first row of the ticket and the one number between 1 and 8 in the second section. The draws are held twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.
The winning numbers and the latest Super Lottery jackpot are on the Taiwan Lottery website.
