TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Plaud debuted its ultra-slim AI-powered NotePin recorder on Tuesday.
Weighing just 23.2 grams, the NotePin is as small as a fitness tracker, per UDN. The recorder comes with 64 GB of internal storage and unlimited cloud storage, offering up to 40 days of standby time and 20 hours of continuous recording, per CNA.
With the click of a button, the device records and accurately transcribes dialogue via an app or web interface. Plaud said this lets users search for information faster, improving work and study.
The NotePin allows users to choose between two AI models, GPT-4o and Claude 3.5 Sonnet, for speech-to-text transcription. Plaud employee Huang Shang-chia (黃上嘉) said at the release event the company has no plans to introduce other AI models, as the team prefers to use ones they are confident managing.
Plaud’s basic subscription plan provides 300 minutes of transcription per month, supports 112 languages, and includes cloud synchronization across platforms. The professional plan offers 1,200 minutes of transcription per month, over 30 customizable templates, and an “Ask AI” function for searching dialogue.
Looking forward, Huang said the company will focus on expanding into the European market this year due to strong demand.
