TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Hotel Metropolitan Premier Taipei’s Platform lobby lounge is embracing the peak of strawberry season with a curated afternoon tea set for two.

Available through March 31, this seasonal experience showcases the sweet and tangy flavor of fresh strawberries. The fruit is blended into both gourmet desserts and savory dishes.

The set also includes a choice of Chinese, Western, or Japanese tea, or coffee. The afternoon tea for two is priced at NT$1,480 (US$45) plus a 10% service charge.

The menu features the Strawberry cheese ball, shrimp sauteed with strawberry salsa strawberry and salami skewers, and brie cheese with strawberry and balsamic vinegar. A standout dish is the sauteed scallops with strawberry, where the umami of scallops meets the fruit’s delicate sweetness for an unexpectedly harmonious pairing.

The dessert selection features strawberry chocolate, a rich and velvety treat, the moist and tender strawberry financier, and the strawberry bonbon, which combines fresh strawberries with luxurious Valrhona chocolate. Guests can enjoy nine handcrafted desserts and five savory bites, each offering a delicate balance of flavors.
