TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS), organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, will kick off from March 3 to 8 at the Nangang Exhibition Center and Taipei World Trade Center.
The 30th TIMTOS will feature nearly 1,000 exhibitors and more than 6,000 booths, the council said. This year’s exhibition, themed “Integrate to Innovate,” will have five key sectors, including semiconductors, electric vehicles, healthcare, aerospace, and green energy, CNA reported.
AI control systems, smart manufacturing, and innovative application products will be newly featured at this year’s TIMTOS. AI control systems focus on integrating AI technologies for smart machine solutions, while innovative application products will showcase technologies in automation systems, laser processing, energy saving, and carbon reduction.
The event will also feature keynote speeches and a forum at the Taipei International Convention Center. Speeches on March 4 will include Japan's THK Chair Teramachi Akihiro analyzing the future of manufacturing, and Techman Robot CEO Haw Chen (陳尚昊) sharing insights on using AI to improve automation efficiency.
The council will also invite Tokyo Seimitsu Company Chair Yoshita Hitoshi, MAG Automotive LLC Vice President of Business Development Paul Chen (陳天華), and Siemens Taiwan Digital Industries General Manager Christine Herbst-Kubitz (黃欣心) to discuss manufacturing trends, energy saving, and sustainability at a forum.
The council added the event is also set to feature procurement meetings, examples of ESG initiatives, and an eco-friendly product competition.
