TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Computex is set to open in Taipei in May, showcasing the latest and greatest tech to fans.
Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said Wednesday that the four-day event will center around three themes, AI and robotics, next-generation technology, and future mobility, per CNA. It will feature new sections, including AI services and gaming product zones.
Last year, Computex attracted more than 1,000 exhibitors and over 80,000 technology experts, startups, and media representatives from Japan, the US, and several other countries. TAITRA said it hopes to attract nearly 1,400 exhibitors this year.
This year’s exhibitors include major technology firms from Taiwan, including electronics giant Foxconn and server maker Pegatron. Electronics manufacturers Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte will also showcase their latest products.
Held in conjunction with Computex, the startup exhibition Innovex will also make a comeback. Last year, the platform attracted 400 startups, connecting them with investors and new markets.
Additionally, Nvidia founder Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) last month said he would return to Taiwan for Computex. Speaking to over 6,500 attendees in a keynote last year, the Tainan-born CEO unveiled the company’s AI progress, including microservice Nvidia NIM and the latest AI-powered laptops.
The expo is set to run from May 20-23 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. More information can be found here.
