TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — India’s Representative to Taiwan, Manharsinh Yadav, extended Lunar New Year greetings to Taiwanese, wishing them a happy Year of the Snake while highlighting milestones in Taiwan-India relations over the past year.
In a video message, Yadav noted that cooperation between Taiwan and India has deepened across various sectors, including talent exchange, semiconductor development, and industrial collaboration. He emphasized that cultural and educational exchanges have also increased significantly, with stronger people-to-people ties propelling bilateral relations to an all-time high.
“We look forward to building on this foundation in the Year of the Snake,” Yadav said.
The India Taipei Association (ITA) announced in a press release that it will participate in this year’s Taipei Lantern Festival with a large lantern symbolizing India’s spirit of progress and showcasing its engineering and scientific achievements. The lantern will be displayed in the International Friendship area near Zhonghua Road Section 1 and Beimen MRT Station from Feb. 2-16.
Following the Lunar New Year, the ITA will also host a special exhibition at the Taipei International Book Exhibition, focusing on India’s contributions to space literature. Held at the Taipei World Trade Center from Feb. 4-9, the exhibition will cover topics such as space exploration, science fiction, and advancements in India’s space sector. Additionally, artists and scholars will discuss India’s classical narrative style at the event.
