TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Director General of the India Taipei Association Manharsinh Yadav hoped for deeper AI collaboration with Taiwan on Monday.
Speaking at an India Republic Day celebration, Yadav said, India’s software talent and design capabilities can help Taiwan achieve its goal of transforming into an “AI island.” “We are well-positioned to leapfrog in this sector,” he said.
Despite the many uncertainties that may come, Taiwan can always rely on its partnership with India, Yadav said. “India shall always chip in with Taiwan and we can rely on our supply chain partnership whenever chips are down.”
The representative pointed out the bilateral accomplishments in the past year, including a labor cooperation agreement, which “would provide India an opportunity to support Taiwan’s economy as it moves on the path of enhanced resiliency.” The largest group of Taiwanese business leaders joined India’s annual economic consultations and CEO forums, Yadav said.
Yadav said the two countries have strengthened cooperation across various sectors, such as traditional medicine, education, and investment. He expressed optimism in achieving “new heights” in Taiwan-Indian ties.
India's Republic Day commemorates the adoption of the nation's constitution and its transition to a republic on Jan. 26, 1950.
