Semiconductors, materials that are neither fully conductive nor fully insulating, form the foundation of modern chips. Applying voltage controls current flow and generates heat, which increases performance and power consumption, according to Sinotrade.
Excessive heat can harm a chip’s lifespan, reliability, and stability, leading to reduced performance, slower processing, and potential failure. Managing heat dissipation is crucial for maintaining stable temperatures in high-performance chips.
