TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The Central Weather Administration said the temperature in Miaoli’s Dahe Village dropped to 7.5 C early Thursday morning.
Early Thursday, temperatures in the western and northeastern plains ranged from 11 C to 13 C, with some areas dipping below 10 C. Notable lows included 7.8 C in Shiding District and 8.8 C in Wugu District in New Taipei, and 9.1 C in Hsinchu’s Emei Township, CNA reported.
Brief showers are expected in northern mountainous areas and eastern regions on Thursday, while other areas will see cloudy to sunny skies.
On Friday, temperatures in northern and northeastern Taiwan are expected to range from 10 C to 18 C, while central and southern regions will see between 11 C and 23 C, per Yahoo News.
From Saturday, temperatures will rise as the cold air mass weakens. However, early mornings will likely remain cool due to radiative cooling.
Northern mountainous areas and coastal regions can expect brief showers on Sunday. Temperatures will range from 12 C to 22 C in the north and east, and 13 C to 26 C in central and southern Taiwan.
