TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan Lottery said Thursday the total prize money for the Lunar New Year lottery is NT$1.05 billion (US$31.89 million). 

Taiwan Lottery President Hsieh Chih-hung (謝志宏) said the 20-day drawing period will run from Jan. 24 to Feb. 12, per CNA.  

Individuals can choose to play in the Lotto 6/49, Daily Cash, 39Mark5, 49Mark6, Pick 3, Pick 4, and Bingo Bingo lotteries. The Lotto 6/49, which will be drawn daily starting Jan. 24, has a top prize of NT$100 million this year.

In addition, this year players can win up to NT$1 million each from the NT$480 million pot by matching six out of the nine numbers drawn from the Big Red Envelope. 

Furthermore, individuals who get five out of the nine numbers drawn from the Big Red Envelope and pick the right number from the Small Red Envelope can receive up to NT$100,000 each from the NT$80 million pot.
