TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The Central Weather Administration said Wednesday that temperatures in northern Taiwan are expected to drop to 10 C on Friday and Saturday.
The administration said a cold air mass will arrive from Thursday to Monday morning. Friday and Saturday will be the coldest, with temperatures ranging from 10 C to 14 C in the north and 12 C to 20 C in central and southern regions, per Yahoo News.
On Thursday, temperatures will range from 11 C to 16 C in the north and 13 C to 23 C in central and southern regions, CNA reported.
From Thursday to Saturday, occasional showers are forecast for the north and mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan. Rain is expected to gradually ease on Sunday, with cloudy to clear skies forecast across most areas.
From Thursday night, snowfall is expected in mountains above 2,000 meters in the north and northeast, and above 2,500 meters in central Taiwan. On Saturday, snowfall is possible in central Taiwan's mountains above 3,000 meters.
