TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taipei has been confirmed as one of the world’s top destinations for digital nomads after it was ranked the third-best city for remote workers in the wintertime.
In a study by the marketing company Eskimoz, Taipei was placed behind Malaysia and top-ranked Bangkok. It came above destinations ranging from Dubai to Rio de Janeiro.
The rankings took into account the cost of housing, internet speeds, safety, temperatures, and other factors. Eskimoz commented: “A growing number of remote workers are seeking destinations that perform great in warmth, affordability, and infrastructure to support their lifestyle.”
The company said it was ever easier to escape cold winters without sacrificing working efficiency. Taipei was commended for its safety and “extremely reliable” internet.
