TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan's representative office on Monday said the country is offering two visa types for Indian professionals.
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in New Delhi announced on X that Taiwan is seeking Indian workers skilled in sectors such as tech and engineering. It then listed two visa options for Indian nations wishing to work in Taiwan: Employment-Seeking Visa, and Taiwan Employment Gold Card.
The office explained that the Employment-Seeking Visa enables Indian citizens to explore job opportunities while in Taiwan. This is a multi-entry visa that is valid for three months and can be extended to a maximum of six months.
The Taiwan Employment Gold Card is a four-in-one card that provides a work permit, resident visa, Alien Resident Certificate, ARC, and re-entry permit for professionals from select industries for up to three years. Applicants must meet specific requirements for the industry they apply under.
The Ministry of Labor is said to be conducting trial runs to ensure a smooth transition for Indian workers.
To find more information about employment opportunities and visa criteria, the office recommends applicants visit the websites of Taiwan’s Bureau of Consular Affairs and the National Development Council.
