TAIWAN (Taiwan News) — A Ukrainian delegation from Lviv arrived in Taiwan on Thursday to explore opportunities for inter-city cooperation.
The delegation is led by the Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyy, and will remain in Taiwan through Dec. 30, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation plans to meet with city government officials and discuss healthcare and telecommunications.
After arriving in Taipei, the group will visit Chunghwa Telecom to learn about Taiwan’s implementation of its 5G telecom network. They will also sign an agreement to promote bilateral educational exchanges for medicine and healthcare technology.
The group also has plans to visit Kaohsiung and study the city’s local administration and its policies on cultural education, healthcare, and public transportation.
The foreign ministry extended a warm welcome to the Ukrainian visitors and hoped the countries could strengthen bilateral cooperation at the local and national levels.
