TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Eleven students from Oman completed a course in semiconductors at the Minghsin University of Science and Technology on Friday.

The program was set up with assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and included the application of practical design and manufacturing processes, per CNA. The group included both students and engineers who had already graduated, according to the Hsinchu County college.

The courses combined the teaching of theory with hands-on experience using contemporary machinery and technology. The processes of testing and packaging chip wafers were at the center of the studies, officials said.

Students voiced their satisfaction with the program, adding they hoped to return to Taiwan for more courses and employment as well.
