TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwanese singer A-Mei's (張惠妹) New Year’s Eve performance at Taipei Dome will include a 15-minute livestream coinciding with the final countdown beginning at 11:55 p.m.
The broadcast will occur on the MyVideo platform, capping off a week-long residency at Taipei Dome, per CNA.
A-Mei's world tour “ASMeiR MAXXX” began at Taipei Arena in April 2022, selling out 12 consecutive shows. The tour continued at Kaohsiung Arena in March 2023, where all 10 shows sold out.
In addition to announcing the broadcaxt, A-Mei released a four-minute promotional video starring actor Zhan Huai-yun (詹懷雲). He plays the role of a food delivery person who eventually realizes his dream of attending an A-Mei concert with his girlfriend.
The video is choreographed to reveal the exclusive audience souvenirs. All attendees of A-Mei’s five concerts at Taipei Dome will receive a special gift package, including ribbons, fans, glow sticks, and other commemorative items.
"This is the first time an artist filmed such a serious promotional video for a concert," said A-Mei's manager Isaac Chen (陳鎮川). Chen said he received frantic phone calls in recent days about procuring concert tickets, and apologized that all tickets were sold out.
